1. Tell the honored man of titles
Falling upon his heights like engravings on stone

2. O Kaaba for the dew, if I had hope
Tomorrow, to its door, pilgrims and those entering ihram would go

3. If you intended to choose for a journey
Then God be praised for the outcome of that journey

4. Where is the camp compared to the one who camped
The abode of majesty, the abode of light in sight

5. I praise him with what makes his merits last
Mentioned by the eloquent, sharp tongue

6. And I will compose my poems, and have done
For him a necklace of splendid pearls

7. You have my loyalty, O Abu Hasan
Entrusted, so stay if you wish, or explain

8. For I have granted you a loyalty like your integrity
Never rising to its purity as days pass by
