2. Praise knows that you are the greatest
Of all that is composed or scattered

3. And it only commends your virtues
As much as any ally can manage

4. Had you excused it, your kindness
Would be owed thanks not excused

5. And how can a praiser fulfil your due
When his rhymes boast of you

6. He imagined from his mind that you
Are more knowledgeable than him in what he recites

7. And that from every breadwinner
You are more eloquent in poetry

8. O house of Rizik, the call of a man
Who harbors more in you than appears

9. Still asking about your virtues
As the light of sun, nay more manifest

10. Until when he witnessed your deeds
He believed the good news told

11. You are the thanked hand of God
And the blessings of God not ungrateful

12. You have folded injustice until
Your justice spreads in every land

13. And righteousness thrived in your time
Never perishing and evil avoided

14. Upon you before the kings of the world
In every matter the decisive rests

15. Your coming together relying on your virtues
The least in worth and greatest

16. So let them continue in your patronage
Complete blessings and thank

17. For the blessings of God if unleashed
And not bound by loyalty, recoil

18. In mentioning you the sword boasts and
The pens and paper and pulpit

19. And the command and forbidding and religion of guidance
And the kingdom and white and red

20. And the earth feels ashamed when
Your traits are sung and musk and ambergris

21. You were not created except to the extent
Chosen by glory and preferred

22. Your faces drip the water of life
From it and your hands with it drip

23. With the righteous guide you towered over
Every great whose worth is mentioned

24. The turns of fate from his commands
And prohibitions coming and going whitened

25. His eternal palms so it did not cease
Hardship and forever pouring blessings

26. The unveiler of gloom after
The troop of guidance took fright

27. Leaving victory and his father slain
Their torn bodies the eagles

28. And leaving the houses they built
Desolate empty yellowing

29. Their nobility even after them a people
Whose worth from it is greater

30. And the victor purified its outskirts
And rain if land pours purifies

31. The clouds of his kindness passed over it
So its marble flourished green

32. And every day for the dew in his presence
And settlement overflowing for the villages

33. And for gifts, O season of gathering
In it and for poetry in it a people

34. If it were not the eternal paradise
The Kawthar would not flow in it from his generosity

35. And praise would not be recited in his hearing
Good tidings, for you are the most eloquent

36. If my thoughts did not plunge in the sea of his kindness
This precious would not be valid

37. Does the light of glories on his face
Appear bright to you forever shining?

38. Like a lion except gentler
And rain except more abundant

39. Nicknamed the victor when he became
With his sword the religion of guidance victorious

40. More clement than the earth’s sphere
And over fulfilling it most capable

41. A youth whose prime
Has become white from venerable age

42. A cultivated branch as if
Watered by rain of youth green

43. And in the conscience of the kingdom from his love
An intimacy inevitably manifesting

44. A status which in the morning
None from mentioning can conceal

45. If the lion groomed his cub
He is more deserving than another

46. And who became guide to his father
Shortens not in honoring him

47. A noble origin adorned by its branch
Lofty and branch adorned by the metal

48. No son dislikes nor father
From shyness if gathered in his presence

49. Whichever you mentioned
The delight of the second in him is revealed

50. Two kings each of them fulfilling
And the fulfilling of the second has ink

51. If they sit the full moon and Venus
Or ride the lion cub and wild ass

52. They surpassed the world when they did not find
In some of it to enliven Ja’far

53. If their worth was not high
I would say they are Nu’man and Mundhir
