1. O you, the best of men, who smile and rejoice,
And you spend your good days glorifying yourself,

2. Congratulations and seasons bring obedience and love,
To your blessed gate, a feast and occasion,

3. You have the fortune of past and coming years,
Driven by the month of Hijjah and Muharram,

4. So the future has started thanking you,
And the past has ended with your remembrance,

5. And in a month like this, you knew its blessing,
It named you with determination towards Yahya, determined,

6. The chores of Upper Egypt headed for his war,
So it narrowed above Upper Egypt to pray,

7. You brought him a complete company,
With their likes, glories are built and destroyed,

8. If their swords speak on the day of battle,
Then the tongue of victory is understood from them,

9. You see the swords of dawn, their tongues,
Tell them in the night of darkness, the stars,

10. They collided with Yahya, and his matter almost,
Ended, and his second plan is accomplished and resolved,

11. So his endeavor stumbled, and its fire was put out,
And the course of its flood was hindered, though old,

12. He only came to Al-Fustat, and his determination,
To delay a frightened man and move forward another,

13. Quraysh wanted his support and loyalty,
And that is only out of fear of you,

14. And otherwise, Quraysh does not deny that you
Are the summit of glory while people are humble and submissive,

15. And it has known its dreams and minds,
The next morning when it disobeyed you, that it will regret,

16. It did not know the days of Isnâ and Tanbid,
And the coast of Harut that you are Dhigham,

17. You stood there protecting your knights that
You sufficed their harm when you defended them,

18. And you maintained, O brave Bin Shaour,
A model on the sleeve of bravery embroidered,

19. And it is strange that your sword in the battle,
Is a receptacle for the souls of the enemies and it is sacred,

20. You gave birth to one ministry,
To him belongs victory on the day of panic and the sword twins,

21. If I knew your spears in the battle,
Then your father the guide Abul Fath is more decisive,

22. The commander of the supporting armies whom
Destinies obeyed by his obedience and denied,

23. The brother of miracles that no priest ever
Reached its secret or predicted,

24. And how many hands disputed you to glory,
Yet you won them, and Allah knows the unseen best,

25. I turned away from others than you so I did not live
Consulting them except turning to you in peace,

26. You carried burdens from Shaour's heart,
Misfortunes that the patcher cannot patch,

27. If he is assigned a matter, you are his servant,
And if he is assigned a border, you are its destroyer,

28. You took over his summer and winter journeys,
As if you enjoy his two places of comfort,

29. One day to make his pillars glorious you are the glorifier,
And one day to make him happy you are the blameworthy,

30. You got up to serve Al-Muhalla, getting up
That treats the body of the sublime when sick,

31. And you secured the sides of the country with
The awe of your palm, and I do not restrain from the sword,

32. You spread through it violence and generosity,
As Paradise and Hellfire conflict,

33. So nothing of your chastity in it is lost,
And no criminal of your torment in it remains,

34. And you returned to the seat of ministry returning,
And your army marked with support and victory,

35. Your palm is outstretched and your justice inclusive,
And your glory protected and your approach more just,

36. The yards of the kingdom became alive when you entered them
With brightened faces and veils,

37. You brought back to the days every darkness,
And you own no injustice from the close enemy,

38. If eloquence reached to the sky,
The Sirius would compose poetry with poetry for you.
