1. Though I sang praise, to Al Adid all honor due,
My steps to them from sins I did eschew,

2. If rhymes grow moist when virtues I recall,
Or gifts from him, of generous hand and full,

3. And rhymes I touch, or point to diction choice,
His graces from them drop, as gentle dews.
