1. Its days rejoice tomorrow in your pride,
And your name's mention has proceeded like a star's course.

The happy days of Eid that broke its fast.

3. The nights of fasting turned their tongues
To praise you for acts that made your reward easy.

4. And your generous face shone in them
Like the dawn's sun when its light rose.

5. No night advanced its darkness
With the full moon except your face was its moon.

6. Did you not see it called with your attributes whenever
Four of them passed and ten preceded them?

7. Had the crescent days been given me
As you have, their halves would know no deficit.

8. And matched your beauty good deeds, so there resulted
For us your sublime news and its reports.

9. In each is revealed a trait of yours
That gives hope to the hopes of creation through your ease.

10. If the days have a fault that we reckon,
Your good days have from the fault an excuse.

11. Meeting them was frowning, but they became
Laughing in welcome, smiling of face.

12. You guaranteed for them, O son of guarantors, with firmness
That the smooth and rough roads would be indebted to them.

13. The ministry and the high station knew,
Despite the many sons, that you are her first‐born,

14. That your name derived from helping its loins,
If derived from other names besides yours, would shame them.
