1. You may speak and act as you wish
And whoever strives in this vast arena should not feel embarrassed

2. None remains but your father whose eternal kingdom
No one admits to reaching its farthest extremity

3. You have become a magnificent glory for Islam
And a hoped for treasure and longer tent pegs

4. You left behind you every preceding racer in the arena
Coming ahead of him slowly

5. You erased the scars of Bani Rizik which
Made you nobler with their honor

6. So if we count the first or the last
In valor and benevolence, you were the foremost

7. You gathered your people and made others
You have always been majestic and splendid

8. They were fortunate with your radiant forehead so they became arrogant
Conquering with you the bolted hopes

9. And they were certain that with your praiseworthy endeavor
They were born together in the highest glories

10. The viziers did not give birth to a heart like yours
Except you became higher than them and better

11. Your perfection showed their deficiency thus
Making your good deeds the most complete

12. They attained the honor of life and built
Glory but the like of your glory, none

13. Between the Pleiades and the ground, when
You gaze upon it, it precludes you from contemplating

14. If they witnessed the ambitions you have, they would know
That an era devoid of its like has passed

15. You became firmly established at the pinnacles
And you became revered in the souls

16. Thus the burdens of ministry, you do not see
Depending on anyone but you

17. You were always worthy, O pillar of the Imam, to attain it
And for the sublime honor, qualified

18. It nurtured you in its chambers, nay, its chamber
Clothing you in the garment of its pride

19. So you grew, O cub of victory, like it
With clenched, sturdy forearms

20. You left the abode of your enemies empty
And made the despicable kingdom despicable and futile

21. You supported the religion of God with determination that
Secured guidance after it from being abandoned

22. You spread from the beauty of agreement what was folded
And the nooks of discord became illuminated and clear

23. So add to the awe of great feats, the awe
Of a majestic glory that fills epochs

24. And make from beautiful forgiveness, punishment
Red hot embers whose fire cannot be extinguished

25. To be like time in its states
If it passes in one of its abodes, it passes

26. For honey does not increase in value
Until bitterness is tasted

27. And devote to those loyal to you sincere devotion
With good that is deemed good when tested

28. The free man always makes excuses when tried
While they eternally rise and ascend the highest

29. They are those who if their loyalty was bought
A king with all his possessions could not

30. And by losing them Muhammad departed
Mecca and chose Yathrib as residence

31. Until when he ruled men and led them
They attained for him the conquest he hoped for

32. So populate the hearts of loyalists, you will find them
A fortress when time changes and retreat

33. And choose the noble over others
For the free man makes excuses when tried

34. And pave for them the wings of your awe which
Made being humble to you their swagger

35. And lower the wing of glory, it is a greeting
God commanded the Prophet to do the sent

36. He prepared the lofty horses as warriors
Roaming through every conquered land

37. And spread with their cavalry a dark cloak
Replacing the blue of the sky with green

38. And make your hall whenever dawn is denied
A passage that brings daylight through the darkest night

39. You see horsemen in it as if
Their forelocks raised torches aflame

40. Horses, when their faces rise to you
Meet the face of victory coming to them

41. And each erect, firm spear as if
Without stillness, it yearns for the open desert

42. Bearing atop their backs horsemen
Whose ways are to strike with sharp swords

43. A people when the edges of their swords thirst
They make the innards of foes a watering hole

44. So when the spears want liveliness from them
They do not accept for it other than skulls

45. A lion neglects another lion out of disdain
If it does not chase it like a fleeing ostrich

46. He throws it to the formidable battle
Closing what is open and opening what is closed

47. And adorns it a fiercely crowned king
Always dignifying a gathering or army

48. None who hopes for his help is disappointed
Rather he overwhelms those hoping in him

49. The sun, if it did not admit to its beauty
Would not remain protected at sunset

50. And it would face from his radiant face
A sun contending its face to redden in shame

51. For Sultan An-Nasir the honor
Whose flowing hems covered the bare heights

52. A king whose right hand is a spring
Glistening on the day of dew and hills

53. If it was permissible that life be granted I would see him
Neither retreating in it nor hesitating

54. Immigrate to his plains and expanses
If you fear scarcity from your time or deprivation

55. A king who made praise of him obligatory
And made it voluntary for all others

56. You inspired me to his exaltation, talents
That safeguarded the tongue of praise from exaggeration

57. Favors as if their facets ask
Their newcomer not to ask

58. I feared his generous hand, though it made me
Harder to carry than a loaded camel

59. So I thanked the totality whose itemization
Is generosity that came to me in summary and detail

60. Continuous like rain except it
Pours and does not forget the last or first

61. O you who when promising reward, hastens
And when threatening penalty, delays

62. Fasting has passed and you have deposited in it
A deed as piety dictates, accepted

63. You gave plentiful share of its prayer and prayer
So the ample reward became easy for you

64. And fulfilled the right of its fasting and night vigil
And observed its prohibitions that were neglected

65. So be felicitous, a feast that gave you tidings
Of an eternal kingdom constantly renewed

66. And enjoy in the shade of fortune a state
That cast on days a loose cover
