1. The true agony and pain are concealed,
While the secret of passion and flowing tears are hidden.

2. I leaned towards the slanderer, without him the meeting
Of my cheek, my gaze and the hearts would not have happened.

3. When destiny granted you my essence,
It prevented sleep except through me the granter.

4. On a night when we were at Dhat Al-Talh,
Your imagination visited us, gently, while the camels walked ahead.

5. So I spent the night not thanking anyone but the destiny
That mentions love and converses.

6. Talk of dew, beyond it erased,
And the pillar of guidance not built by a demolisher.

7. Shares with it in its money but not its glory,
If ambitions monopolized, it yields and departs.

8. If they share its name not its actions,
The two seas are not equal, fresh and salty.

9. Winds blow to it, clouds and worries,
So in every drop of it, a branch and an extending valley.

10. Ungrateful rather than thankful for its clouds
Slaughterhouses if they anger through them.

11. If the just takes over the ministry,
The sky equated him to a fortunate star.

12. So you, O Badr son of Zarik, surpassed them
As the best rewarder of the enemy and the contestant.

13. And when you exceeded the ultimate heights,
And the ambitious kings took refuge in your arms.

14. You lowered the wing of your Persian power,
Aiming from edge to edge aspiring.

15. With your determination the king took refuge and guidance triumphed,
And the mighty calamities of fate bowed down.

16. You spearheaded the rise of the state
Rewarding you with it, as a ruler, vanquisher.

17. And took care of its needs through you in the best
Ways, clearing its horizons, possessions and blades.

18. And paved its lands so neither the heights’ dwellings
Nor the vicissitudes’ dwellings are arid.

19. And ignited its fires as soaring and attainment,
And only ignited while your flint sparked.

20. You created through it glory and treasure, its pillar,
Upon it when disasters beyond it hit.

21. It only clung while your sword swam,
And only persisted while your sword opened.

22. And if your praise did not emit musk,
The remaining righteous would have praised you.

23. And it would be long if I wanted to summarize it,
The days’ tongues would become explainers.

24. And the essence of poetry whose necklaces spend the night
Is upon the poet passing in waves going and coming.

25. My mind dives in the sea of your generosity
While others circle upon the seashells overflowing.

26. When I roam describing your glory, I forsake
It and walk away, so it is the companions and the roamers.

27. And if I touch its edges with you it shakes it
A praise to the quarters of the vast earth touching.

28. Generosity may unfold compressed praise
And the almost healed wounds may heal.

29. You brought me close, though near extinction,
And how often after proximity the striver fails and falls.

30. And you made it attack freshness after scarcity.
And in the light of dawn, the lamps fade.

31. Brides, if not for Badr’s existence protecting them,
Would have spent the night with the misers’ disgrace touching.

32. How can I expect it to protect them from a miser
When marriages are corrupt among the generous?

33. Take the pardon and overlook my poetry’s shortcomings
You who greet the confessed sinners’ sin.

34. Forgive and take some of what you deserve
It is customary that the generous forgives.

35. And I plead for it only the water of joy
As only the ardent wishes intended it.

36. So how many favors you concealed so
The eloquent rhymes publicized it from you.

37. And the train of gowns, I walked its reward
While I am barefoot of your blessings swimming.

38. Pages of generosity which praise spreads across
Its title above the eulogies prominent.

39. A fast passed while it makes happy with righteousness,
And you met a feast, making the heart happy through you.

40. So the feast of Eid never ceased being the happiest arrival,
Visiting you through it with praise.

41. None deserves thanks but you the benefactor,
And none deserves righteousness but the praiser.

42. If others gain through praise while losing,
I through you am profiting in the trade of praise.
