The owner of the fragility of truth and falsehood

3. And the one of the era which he did
An ornament for this idle time

4. And the rising sun in his hand
After that waning moon

5. An issue I had been from mentioning it
Busy with another, preoccupied

6. That is because I have not ceased being satisfied in my soul
With what I was given of attainments

7. Self-sufficient with your grace
From every demanding and conferring one

8. My intention exalted at your doors
Honored from the humiliation of the beggar

9. If one came to me saying the just increased you
Thank the just one for it

10. I would stand among the people preaching for him
Celebrating in the crowded assembly

11. I ask Allah for the happiness of his days
In the present and the future

12. For he lightened from my shoulders
Burdens of worries that wearied my shoulders

13. The servant did not know until there came
One who said you have gained no use

14. If there is no fortune for the impoverished one
In proceeds that are not from the proceeds

15. Then wait for sufficiency in salary
The rest of the year or the incoming

16. I said: And who guarantees for me my gut
That it remains until the next

17. Then I bowed my head in shyness
Ashamed like the cheek of the attainable hope

18. And the sneeze of wish returned in the head
Dragging the tail of the declining fortune

19. And tens of offspring of the cherished
After filling the loaded bucket

20. And the insolent entered his dream
So the uproar of the insolent rose

21. Oh what a joy it was that became
Like the tattoo of the pregnant she-camel

22. And of the most difficult that passed me
Was the gloating of the envious and ignorant

23. And the companion whose story was my story
And whoever supported him betrayed me

24. When his need for me ended, he blamed me
Oh pity for the wronged and abandoned one!

25. He did not intend advice but rather
The knight was infatuated with the infantryman

26. I said, and I ignored his offer
For there is no deserving of blame

27. If not for the dinars that did not cease
To support the leaning table

28. I would have been foolish like a feather
Cast by a wave to the coast

29. Six thousand as I was told
And the promise of truth is upon the speaker

30. A joke that cost me mentioning it
Against the sanity of intelligent literature

31. I give him from it undeservedly
A sin from Allah, and no wavering
