1. It is time to regain that youth
Do not think your lucky star has set

God had mercy on His people and responded

8. So the matter that was prevented before
By time from being settled is now settled

9. And the winds of fairness blew a little
Removing the fog from the eyes

10. In the heights it cleared away the worries
That in yearning for it spent eras

11. Return, oh Lord, to the heavens of glory
A sun of virtue that almost set

12. So its atmosphere cleared and eyes healed
That a pact had wounded and eyelids hurt

13. Peace be upon you, oh you who
Wear the garb of fear of his Lord

14. And peace be upon you, oh you who
Wrap the purity that mimics cloth

15. You have taken the key so enter the
Abode where glory lies and doors opened

16. And take more weapons of your blessings for
War has helpers and the hero speeds the steeds

17. And those symbols fell into disarray
Challenging our hearts to waver

18. And we saw the bitter poison that had
Flowed and we used to hastily guard against

19. So spare us from affliction, lest
Time follow the affliction with affliction

20. And let us die content with you, receiving hearts
That relish drinking bitter death

21. And if there was hatred in our hearts, brother
For kinship breeds hatred of kin

22. So enlighten us in this darkness, for we
Are tired of awaiting its dawn

23. And rebuild the land of knowledge and religion
Whose edges almost fell into ruin

24. We knew you in crises as a lion
Vanquishing fate, so fate yielded

25. Neither old age weakened your resolve, for you are
An eagle whom youth constantly renews

26. No saying has diminished your sublime status
Though enviers fabricated it in your absence

27. Today they know your Lord is a just
Judge who grants the truthful reward

28. So forgive their sin against you for they have
Come to you seeking pardon altogether

29. They removed the barrier from themselves and never
Were happier than the day you rose above them

30. So they competed to meet you in droves
And flocks hurried like throngs

31. Do you know how the factions were on that
Day which left no factions among them?

32. The day they appeared on fine steeds
Plundering the land with travel's plunder

33. And they proceeded in carriages in a train
Proceeding in love and companionship

34. And thunder roared from their guns
Until they disturbed the heart of space into turmoil

35. Brandishing swords constantly
Flexing spears stiffly

36. A procession whose light puts stars to shame
Flowing behind you in streams

37. With hearts that vied around you
Yearning to draw near you

38. And with throats that nothing graced but you
So they were shocked in sublime astonishment

39. All this while you walked gently
With their matter not swaying you with wonder

40. You met them with a bright smile and every
Healthy one was shaded by your hands' rain

41. And if the night of worries darkened them
The full moon of counseling shone upon them

42. And if the soil of their sustenance dried up
You watered it with the Nile's rushing rain

43. So it is that you shepherd them, else
Take the staff to shepherd the wolves

44. The ink is only from one whose heart harbored
Eternity while his feet harbor soil

45. And he protected the side of certainty and held high
The flag of truth that shames the liar

46. And he erected the scale between his subjects
And did not stop being a guide

47. This is how your Lord exonerated you as an ink
Leaving no flaws for enviers to blame

48. We never heard any taint about you
Except that the esteemed are youthful

49. If gray hair is a flaw in you I
Thank you for erasing flaws

50. Can we blame you for being
Succor for the vulnerable that comes obliging?

51. Can we blame you for being of refined
Heart aflame with love for God?

52. Can we blame you for being a shepherd who
Befriends hardships in shepherding?

53. How much hatred you killed with sword of
Joy while becoming solace among them

54. So you guided the lost and stood up
Pulpits and mended those who approach judging

55. And you founded an institute of knowledge
That provoked them, attracting students

56. In it is the pursuit of sciences and in it
A font the youth draws wisdom from

57. And in it the passion of love is chained
The softness of its chains in your love deemed good

58. And it has fulfilled lifelong pacts
With time drawing near this pact

59. Sometimes singing the prime of youth
Sometimes singing time's reproach

60. So time returned loyal
After being a cheating seducer

61. The day you rose it sang glad tidings
And coyly smiled which it did not use to do

62. They embarked on seas of praise so each
Sea borrowed its moisture from you

63. So browse their words and you read nobility
And love part after part

64. And receive it as a journey that tells about you
What time did not leave room for doubting

65. Do not blame me, for to you I owe so much
Virtue that if you wanted counting, it would not run out

66. And my book is a pact I have of my religion
So for that I appended my name to the book
