3. My eyes have never seen a trace of the 'Dhad'
In the languages of the West with their lisping

4. My Lord created the 'Dhad' and
Gifted it with eternal beauty

5. When an enemy from the West invaded
Our land with devastating attacks

6. He seized the home and became its master
Depriving us of livelihood and life

7. He attacked the 'Dhad' but it was
An impregnable fortress against all his assaults

8. A stronghold that repelled his vanities so he
Met with nothing but failed ambitions

9. O Arabs protect your stronghold
From the evil of those tyrants

10. The day the 'Dhad' is wounded
Will be, by God, the day of death

11. O Arabs, if the cities of the East tighten
Around you due to the horror of the enemies

12. Beware of losing the 'Dhad' even if
They force you with it into the deserts
