1. What people are these that the world has not seen
Except for wretched mad lands

2. Whose life mounted them in the revolt of misery
So that it brings out their madness

3. It has erected temples for it in the universe
And prayed for it and built its fortresses

4. How many beautiful girls they praised
And sang about so they would make them fall

5. If she kept her chastity they blamed her
And if she sold her shame they worshipped her

6. Beauty has become a curse that descends earth
To tempt her sons and relatives

7. And a wretch roamed the city seeking
To make a living but they spurned him with contempt

8. They provoked in him the urge of evil so he pounced
On the people, a tyrannical beast

9. Sowing terror in hearts and igniting
Wherever he settled in the souls a fire

10. And a prophet who came to people with the truth
Yet, they pelted him with insults without end

11. And called him to the fire, so the fire
With the wicked soul is more deserving and apt

12. Then they threw him in the flames and remained
Filling existence with horror and awe

13. And weak nations that smolder
In the hell of pain year after year

14. And the unjust mighty one extracts from
Their black suffering pleasure and wine

15. Relishing it laughing without seeing them
Created in existence as food

16. And a girl you thought the temple of love
But found her heart soiled

17. And a nobleman you found in the light of dawn
A rotten evil heart

18. And a leader people exalted until
He deemed himself a petty god

19. And a villain living like an axe intent
On destruction to elevate amidst the ruins his building

20. And a dwarf challenging the highest
Mountain - how great is his stupidity

21. And a lowlife whose history in the register
Of evil is scandal, vulgarity and baseness

22. I thought souls were great
But found souls a paltry thing

23. Defiled by life then it persisted
Spreading over the wide world evils

24. So reap the thorns O its children and clamor
Filling the earth and heavens with embers
