1. O King who wears a crown against his will
And ascends the throne as a slave
١. يا مَليكاً بِرَغمِهِ يُلبَسُ التا
جَ وَيَرقى لِعَرشِهِ مَملوكا
2. If your hands finish off the ruin of Egypt
Indeed, your father started the ruin
٢. إِن أَتَمَّت يَداكَ تَخريبَ مِصرٍ
فَلَقَد مَهَّدَ الخَرابَ أَبوكا
3. Leave something if you pass contemptibly
Soon your sons will come upon it
٣. أَبقِ شَيئاً إِذا مَضَيتَ ذَميماً
عَن قَريبٍ يَأتي عَلَيهِ بَنوكا
