Mothers bereaved, infants forlorn, nurture impaired

12. A grieving eve 'neath shadows teaching sorrow to trees
Questioning birds about their missing companions each time one chirps

13. Asking stars about their missing own
Each time one hides or peers

14. Giving life for one who'd tell her
That he escaped the grip of fate so severe

15. Oh Egypt, each day brings new calamity
And tribulations from which you cannot veer

16. Minor are your woes, unless from your sons
In your soil a remedy they confer

17. You've belittled their glory in transporting them
When one of the greatest bore them over here

18. Be they in Eastern or Western earth laid to rest
Their final place is one and the same, have no fear

19. Do you disdain that we see a day ours
In the realm of knowledge, an acre held dear

Among authors of history and pioneers

21. A landmark, when one passes it
A youth hails their name with pride and a tear

22. A guide for Egyptians when honeyed with fervor
In the West to their homeland they lovingly cheer

23. How many of our gifts on their land
Framed a miracle amidst portraits so revered

24. Rising as symbols of bygone golden ages
When knowledge upon them shone and prospered

25. Make then our deceased amongst them today
The finest symbol of hope so endeared

26. Rome's children eased our sorrow
With your blessed hands' gentle gift sincere

Strewn across your valley, their buds once here
