1. The pilgrims praised you and deprivation,
And postponed the celebration of your accession, the two heavy matters.

2. You pleased your Lord when you made His path secure,
And won the blessing of His good pleasure.

3. With the constitution you gathered around you a nation,
Diverse in doctrine, unanimous in purpose.

4. So you came to reside in hearts and graze upon
Their seeds and melt into ecstasy.

5. You shepherded them until you knew they had reached
Their prime in life's phases.

6. So you made the people's affairs a consultation between them
And upheld the law of the One Judge.

7. If they weighed the armies against a spectacle
Your army would tip the scales.

8. If He wished He would make them quake over their enemies
Or wished He would confuse them from revolution.

9. They walk into the arena of steel to the foe
As if they were a barrier of men.

10. And as if their vanguard when dawn gleams
Were a torrent of Indian and Syrian steel.

11. They take turns on the remains and their ranks despite the turmoil
Are like the firmness of a building.

12. So when the cannons in battle thunder
With their roaring and the two armies clash,

13. And when the bombs explode and burst
Exploding beneath the dust like volcanoes,

14. And when the rifles unleash their fires
Freely and the means of death run riot,

15. You see jinn in the slaughterhouses of youths
And hearts of lions from warriors.

16. Undaunted they plunge into the melees and blast
The ridges of mountains with the strength of faith.

17. Their breasts iced over and their resolve steadied
When you swore the strongest of oaths.

18. By God, they did not doubt your sincerity toward them,
They know the traits of the Sultan.

19. But they marched in rhythms by which
To protect the constitution, the best guarantee.

20. O noble people, unite
And take your affairs without hesitation.

21. Why should I remind you when those are your meadows
Pasture of integrity and plantation of the valiant?

22. You attained the constitution unsullied
By blood nor smeared with disgrace.

23. And you acted like men and were on the day of pride
As the Japanese nation.

24. So take shelter in the shade of the crescent, for it
Is perfect in compassion and great in kindness.

25. It protects the loyalty of Moses, Christ, and Ahmad
And the sanctity of religions.

26. So take the covenants and promises in the guidance of the
Torah, Gospel, and Quran,

27. And taste the meaning of life, for in Egypt
They are words without meanings.

28. And leave sectarian strife between you
For strife is a sign of humiliation.

29. And compete for the lasting deeds and show
The treasures of minds to both worlds.

30. The time of transgressors has passed just as the wiles
Of schemers and the authority of eunuchs have waned.

31. Neither doubt takes away certainty nor do dreams benefit
The evildoer nor does the devil's climbing.

32. The Book was placed and their multitude was driven to
The Day of Reckoning and the Station of Submission.

33. And imagine them in chains, so one says
“That's so-and-so who slandered so-and-so,”

34. And a claimant against his foe and a demander
Of blood shed by the whip of monsters.

35. Their day has come here and after the resurrection
Beyond is for them another day.

36. Glory to Him whose judgement the hand of the weak
Rules over the oppressor and transgressor.

37. O day the displaced return to their land
Competing to see the homelands.

38. By God, how many fires you extinguished that kindled
An age and how many griefs you soothed!

39. This one flies joyfully to Upper Egypt, and that
To the slopes of Lebanon in yearning.

40. They relinquished youth to al-Bashir and created
Through kissing the era of the Caliph of the Merciful.

41. And they embraced after estrangement like lovers
Pleased by the embrace of branches.

42. So you see the women with the men in droves
Fearing not the disapproval of the censorious.

43. Wondrous are they who were created confidantes
Emerging in joy and in sorrow.

44. Greetings unveiler of the veil, she who if
She travels her two moons adorn beauty.

45. She gladdened the east when her breeze blew
From the Balkans.

46. Would that she gladdened Egypt and shone
On its happiest day in Tahrir.

47. Yearning has whitened their two livers for her and cracked
Their two hearts.

48. The world knew her timing so they awaited
July like the thirsty await drinking.

49. A month in which hope was brought to life and
Nations were freed and fear became safety,

50. So it has a blessing over the new world
Which the youth sing the tale of its achievement,

51. And over Frances of civilization a favor
Sung in anthems and songs.

52. July you are the father of months in majesty
July you are the asylum of the suffering prisoner.

53. Why can't you make for us a share so we
Race with the living in the arena?

54. Will those hoping through you obtain what they hoped for
And we return with that deprivation?

55. July we indeed need you
So when is the time and you are the best time?

56. From me are greetings to the Abode of Peace
And to the Caliph from the sons of Othman,

57. And to the army men marching, riding, displaced or nearby,
And to the exemplars who settled in virtue except

58. He who calls to disobedience,
And to the Hejaz's outcast and what is in it

59. Except seizing the chirping sparrow,
What is it to the noble descendent of the best of

60. Humanity from the sons of Adnan,
To befriend and support its misguidance and ignorance

61. With the rabble of Arabs?
By God if you two gathered the sands of Naqa

62. And descended in the habitations of eagles,
And planted the Hejazi land with spears

63. And ignited a sea of fires,
And established in it impregnable fortresses

64. From the land of Najd to the Gulf of Oman,
I would annihilate you, pelt you, and scatter you

65. Obliterating the citadels and razing the lands.
Whether you come willingly or I come to you

66. Forcibly, without might or power.
And to you O Branch of the Caliphs, praise

67. Whose wild geese settled in Hassaan,
From a poet whose integrity his poetry affirms

68. And souls thrill to the tinkling of his rhymes,
Who gifts praise to the King chains

69. That the chains of language aspire to,
For when crowns become equal I crown them

70. With praise atop their crowns.
