١. أتعبْتَ نفسكَ بَيْنَ ذلة كادح
طلبَ الحَيَاةَ وبيْنَ حِرص مؤَمِّلِ
2. And you have wasted your life without virtuous dignity
Attaining from it neither gain nor honourable gravity
٢. وأَضَعْتَ عُمْرك لا خلاعة ماجن
حَصَّلتَ فِيهِ ولا وقارَ مُبَجَّل
3. And you have neglected the soul's portion in this life and the
Next, and isolated yourself from all
٣. وَتركتَ حظَّ النفس فِي الدنيا وَفِي ال
أخْرَى ورَحْتَ عن الجميع بمعزل
