1. All return to the belly of the earth,
Even if his right hand clings to the sky.
١. كلّ إلى بطن الثّرى رُجعاه
لو بالسّماء تمسّكت يمناه
2. He who is perfect has no merit;
Rather, he hopes for abundant merit in the end.
٢. لا فضلَ فيه لذي كمالٍ إنّما
يرجو جزيلَ الفضلِ في أُخراه
