1. The auspicious one, the signs of his condition inform us
That your stature has been clothed in the garb of beauty

2. And the potter has pitched over you a canopy
And at your lofty door the camels’ resting place

3. O you whose eyelids were adorned with kohl
When you sought refuge in the shade of his security

4. Through you time takes pride, not being sterile
Why not, and you have become one of its burdens

5. For you are its flood and the light of its horizon
And its darkness dispeller and the firmness of its majesty

6. Whence can praise encompass you, you who
The orbits of perfection yearn to kiss your slippers

7. You have the honorable path which no king contained
However great were the traits of his perfection

8. And the originality of opinion whose traces
Were narrated by what he set in motion of its chain

9. So the sultan of your time proceeded taking
Your sound opinion in critical deeds

10. And heed you when the counselor said, and he approved
A title you contained honor in perfecting it

11. And of providence you have become garlanded
With the wreath of majesty from the benevolence of his conferral

12. How the necks have stretched to attain it
And the resolves hastened to gain its likeness

13. But they fell short of gaining it and your affection
And you filled your palm with the binding of its fetters

14. And adorned you with a crown, the greatest sign
That pointed to the hidden of his inclination

15. If my aspirations were imaged and embodied
Pure affection would come to you from its inclination

16. For by this you have attained the furthest reach of sovereignty
Aspiring to what even stars cannot aspire

17. You deserve all you have been granted
And you have risen, O glorious one, in its wrap

18. Who can compete with Ahmed in his merit
Or has a creation like his?

19. Singular in reaching the peaks of nobility
Encompassing virtue on the day of its loftiness

20. A king whom it is proven to be peerless
However long you reflect on his conditions

21. For in connecting favors he has care
And for it ever more care in connecting to him

22. The awe of his mention has made his sword dispensable
And defending his palace with his arrows

23. His enemies’ surmise of his might
Has led to their defeat, and the passing of his phantom

24. Awe that softens iron for him and an assault
That restrains the lions from their cubs

25. And the breadth of a breast that encompasses great clemency
With which the sinner meets the hopes of his desires

26. And the clouds' dew of care for him
When his gift showers gifts from his wealth

27. So the generous have opened their hands
And he has brought increase to their good with his left

28. His lands have confused all other lands
And the princes there have been marked by his signet

29. He has shown it the mighty army and its types
Have been clad with lions of its heroes

30. And he has bestowed his revered mosque its charity
And watered the growth of its courtyard with his drink

31. And gifted it precious books of knowledge
That have perfumed the meadow in its valleys

32. You have revealed in the horizon of your merit stars
That erase with it the difficulties of its problems

33. And you have brought rest in it to the anxious and those
Whose hands were shackled by poverty

34. And through it you have removed hardships from the helpless
And uncovered what terrors had deafened them

35. O king who loves the lofty
And has strived to it with effort and fervor

36. Take it as a poem, nay a lovely doll
Adorned by shyness with her wrappings

37. She was presented so out of an excess of subtlety I left her
To entertain the gentle nature without her anklets

38. She fell short of elaborating on what you attained
Of good fortune, so she resorted to summarizing it

39. And enjoy an Eid whose time has shaded you
And whose joy and wellbeing resemble it

40.
Were it not for the Law specifying its time

41. I would not cease the day of Eid from extolling it
For every day of your era is a season

42. That enriches your brow without the rising of its crescent
May your kingdom remain the adornment of the world without

43. Time ever tasting the flavor of its passing
And may you continue reveling in the horizons of good fortune
