1. Greet them, O Sa'd, when you come to them, greet!
For they are the people of life in every quarter.

2. Live with them morning and die in their love,
He who dies in the love of the living remains alive!

3. They are the kings of the earth, the lords of mankind,
So speak of them and spread their mention.

4. Their benevolence has always overwhelmed us,
Seeking abundance in widespread generosity.

5. How their words bring what
Gives the heart remedy and profit!

6. Their words and generosity within bring healing
To the sick, and this brings nourishment.

7. Of both these I do not stop in
The intoxication, so speak of them to my intoxication!

8. Their brilliance shines in my thoughts,
And their lights glisten in my comfort.

9. I have never ceased acquiring from them
All the good attributed to me.

10. A breeze from their secrets cloaked me,
And the light of their brilliance clothed my youth.

11. They empowered me, making me a wanderer,
With all I seek in my grasp.

12. God has brought them happiness to my mind, so
No fatigue befalls my arm.

13. It is my duty to strive with
My eyes truly for them, not my feet.

14. O my tongue, perpetuate praising them
Eternally, and O my mind, prepare!

15. By God, I am a lover of them,
Believe me, after God there is nothing.

16. My love of them is hidden in my innermost heart
From all people except my Master.

17. You have bestowed loyalty without disloyalty upon me,
So you have made me forget my parents.

18. And your palm has quenched me with a cup of intimacy
Of cool wine wherein is healing.

19. So for you is a prayer from me whenever
Clouds rain down at dawn and dusk.

20. And so are the Family and the Companions as long
As the living one finds a youth in every quarter.

21. And praise continues to come to you
Folding the spathes, covering the dunes.
