1. Praise be to Him who has bestowed abundant grace
And special favor by granting knowledge to us

2. Then peace and prayers be upon the one
Without whom I would have seen neither earth nor sky

3. And his family, a noble line, and all his companions
And whoever embraced Islam, an upright religion

4. This is my license to Salih
Who originally hails from Damascus

5. For whatever of mine he transmitted by narration
Or composed in prose or in rhyme

6. I have doubled it for him though I
Was not known to permit transmission

7. Enjoining consciousness of Allah, majestic His majesty
And calling that unveils the blindness of the heart

8. I am the Riyahi, son of Abdul Qadir
The servant hoping for cure from anguish

9. Then prayers upon the Prophet and his family
As long as a bird twitters amidst the branches

10. And praise belongs rightfully to the Master
With which one begins or concludes a matter
