1. I congratulate this lofty university,
Beautiful in stature, mighty in command.

2. A prince - when kings are counted you will see him
As a moon amid stars in the center of the month.

3. No surprise that he surpasses them, though he is one of them,
For some nights are the Night of Power.

4. To him belong remarkable deeds and the resolve
That has risen in glory beyond the elevation of eagles.

5. His works have told of his exaltation,
And that splendid edifice confers honor.

6. Hopes have clung to his position,
So he proceeded to accomplish this matter from the valley.

7. And whatever is attributed in affairs to a subordinate
Belongs truly to the leader without doubt.

8. So whoever congratulates the Master on an honor
His glory has brought will last till the end of time.

9. And it is owed to it from him, when its
Sublimity became clear, a great share of thanks.

10. May God prolong his life in power and honor,
And grant him success in public and secret.

11. It has not escaped me that it is my duty
To congratulate this occasion, but I explain my excuse.
