1. I wondered at the turns of fickle Time,
And Abu Khalid's command so clear,

2. Whose firm resolve none could make bend,
To the sweet pure Light of the Gardens of EdenAli is my Leader whom I do not doubt,

3. And I have freed my words "be" and "it was".
The Prophet came, goodly and Hussein;

4. And sat they down a space to play,
He left them then again drew nigh

5. And there they were, still in that place.
So they set forth, clasped to his shoulders,

6. A fine steed he, and brave riders they!
Their mother is the excellent Barra',

7. A mare made pure for the stallion's assay.
And their elder is Ibn Abi Talib Ali Then fine the colts, and the parents fine!

8. My friend, seek not misguidance, and know
That right guidance is not as ye claim;

9. Blind doubt after sure faith,
And dimmed vision after clear sight,

10. Are aberrance. So contend not therein,
Evil such qualities for you twain!

11. Can Ali, the Guide, e’er be doubted?
And shall Uthman be hoped for by the Misguided ones?

12. And Ibn Harb with his followers be hoped for,
And the ranting zealots of Nehrawan?

13. That their leader in the Return
Be one ill of purpose, yet true to loam and stone?

14. May God reward Hashim’s sons for us
For Ahmad's sake, highest of the Gardens of Eden!

15. All of them pure, immaculate,
Noble, sweet of tongue and deeds!
