That shed the blood of the Best of Mankind.

2. By his vile act is the wretch made bare
Of all Islam, its guidance left behind.

3. The heavens wept for that door now shut fast,
Once graced by the Best of Mankind. In sadness

4. The earth, too, mourned for that noble guest
To whom it showed only love and gladness.

5. โ€œA foundling is heโ€, I say, โ€œson of accursed,
Of Satan's own breed! No, the Devil's spawn!โ€

6. Woe to the mother who carried and nursed
A creature so cursed, so wretched and foul.

7. As Immran ibn Hitan said with good cause,
"The blame of this sin would break the back

8. Of two stout camels." Yet the vile outcast
Bears it with no grief, feels no sorrow or lack.

9. From frivolity comes calamity.
Now Hell's punishments wait to scourge the fool

10. Who traded eternal bliss casually
For a passing thrill, breaking faith's rule.

11. No being e'er fouler crawled upon earth
Than this wretch who all virtue mocks and shuns.
