1. Tread softly, O Muhammad, for dawn has arrived,
And remove the corruption of religion through reform.

2. Do you revile the breastplate of Muhammad and his successor,
Hoping for success through this? Never!

3. Far from you they drew near and brought you closer
To torment and the seizure of souls.

4. The Prophet enjoined the best covenant upon him
On the day of Ghadir with the clearest proclamation:

5. "For whoever I am his master, this one, know,
Is his master," an open and direct word.

6. The settler of debts and your guide just as
I used to guide with guidance and success.

7. You have misled my mother, though she is the root of the weak,
So she flowed into the lands of misguidance like a swooping eagle

8. With insult upon the flag of the Imam and the one for whom
Is the inheritance of the Prophet in the firmest evidence.

9. I fear for you two the wrath of the One
Who made firm the mountains with mere reverberation.

10. My parents, fear God and submit
To the truth, adhering to the rope of salvation.
