1. Peace be upon the Prophet's family and kin
Whenever the doves coo their lament

2. Are they not stars in the sky?
They are flags of glory none can subdue

3. So you who are lost in misguidance
The Commander of the Faithful is your imam

4. Allah's Messenger on the day of Ghadir Khumm
Presented him while people were attending

5. Second in succession is al-Hasan, the Chosen
To him belongs Mash'ar's house and chamber

6. Third is al-Husayn, this is no secret
Like a full moon when darkness mixes

7. Fourth is 'Ali, of great endeavor
Through him the religion and world stand

8. Fifth is Muhammad whom he approved
His feats, when told, are his station

9. Sixth, Ja'far, is a full moon of the eminent
By his beam the full moon shines brightest

10. Seventh is Musa, whose station
The nearness of the generous cannot approach

11. 'Ali is the eighth, and his tomb
Is in Tus if dried are its rains

12. Ninth is their outcast, Muhammad the Pure
For him are swords and steeds

13. Tenth is 'Ali, a fortress
For whose loss the Sacred House yearns

14. Eleventh are the beacons of glory
The luminous, magnificent, gallant Hasan

15. Twelfth arises; his standing is ready
Muhammad the Pure, in him take hold

16. Soon he will reveal a concealed light
Matters will flow straight by his means

17. They in the Gardens have soothing drinks
While my neighbors are the fifth and peace
