1. At night Laila's abode I visited
With sleepless eyes intent and focus steadfast

2. And though with wise words filled I spoke
Prolonged pretense of ignorance I cast

3. Cursed by God be Howshab
And Kharash and Yazeed

4. And Yazeed, for he
Was most unjust and stubborn indeed

5. A thousand thousand curses
Everlasting be their fate sealed

6. For they fought against God
And caused Muhammad to yield

7. Partook in shedding the blood
Of Zaid, stubbornness their creed

8. Then displayed him atop a tree trunk
Slain, stripped of his steed

9. Oh Kharash son of Howshab
Most wretched of mankind you'll be for deed
