1. By my father and mother,
O Commander of the Faithful,

2. By my father and mother,
And by all our kin,

3. By my family and wealth,
My daughters and sons,

4. My soul I sacrifice for you,
O Imam of the righteous,

5. The Trustee of Allah and heir,
To the knowledge of the ancients,

6. Successor of Mustafa Ahmad,
The best of those sent,

7. Master of the Basin, whom
The narrators mention,

8. You are the foremost of people,
And the best of people in religion,

9. You were his brother in life
When he called his kin

10. To answer Allah's call-
Forty men they had been,

11. Uncles and cousins,
Around him, a shelter,

12. So you inherited his knowledge
And the clear book from him,

13. Upright as an elder and youth
And infant and embryo too,

14. At the covenant of clay
When creation was but clay,

15. You were trusted and eminent,
To the Lord of the Throne, assured,

16. Alive, goodly, in the veil of Light
For the purified.
