1. Have you stopped at the traces of encampment from date palms,
And stopping of an old man is not despicable.

2. If you ask me about my people, you ask a man,
At the peak of glory from the living people of Yemen.

3. Around me, the owner of a castle in its dwellings,
And the owner of cattle and Hamdan and owner of Yazan.

4. And Al-Azd, the generous Azd of Oman, when
Their glories are counted in past ages.

5. Their generosity towards me is evident, so their homes
Are my home, and among their lands, their plains are my plains.

6. I have two homes in Lahj, a middle home,
And I have a dignified home for me in Aden.

7. Then the loyalty by which I hope for salvation
From the agony of fire, to the Guide Abu Hassan.
