With passion you burdened me beforehand

2. So I sought your love even if
It brings me to ruin afterwards

3. If only an eye missed seeing you
In which there was no eye for you

4. O father of noble panic and he who
Prevailed over his peers in nobility

5. Why don't you plead with a father
Whenever you plead with him, he is kind

6. You are the gentle one, so do not be
Like pottery at the door of hope

7. My family seeks from me
Every day fodder from my hand

8. How much I suffer providing their livelihood
By stealing loans and craft

9. They think bread spoiled
With grasshoppers is stolen

10. But worries dissolved me
Into a family that clung to weakness

11. Making Abd al-Husayn their
Intercessor, sufficient for me is him

12. Best is that intercessor, and he who
Whenever I called upon him, sufficed

13. If you could see his conduct
In the orbits of his realm, it would suffice

14. And whenever his kindness sprouted
It overwhelmed me with bounty and loyalty

15. I spent the days of his care
Not fearing whoever envied me

16. And on the day of his indifference
He made me aimless in the struggle of fate

17. How much sweet gentle water
He quenched me from his clouds

18. Bestowing precious wealth, not
Giving pottery or seashells

19. God has blessed me through him
And protected people through his care
