1. O Raab, who crosses the distant lands
And traverses every hill and place

2. Driven by intense longing in his journey
With distress, beyond the fortresses

3. As if he were the moon among its stars
Among noble youths, the noblest of men

4. And a traveller towards all that is good
Would that you bless the sorrowful complainant

5. By reaching the kingdom of its masters
The best of creation, its intimacy and essence

6. Perhaps al-Hadi the generous, and his son
And al-Qa'im the successor, mighty in status

7. Sword of God, the chosen one, judger of fate
And al-Murtada solace of the humbled Lord

8. Treasury of God’s knowledge, Abu Ibrahim, guide of truth
Pillar of loyalty, marks of faith

9. Ships of salvation, rain of generosity
Thou rescuer of the perplexed worshipper

10. I swear by them and their ancestry, I do not fear
The terror of judgement, their love is with me

11. So if I come into the presence of the holiness
That rises through them in nobility above the heavens

12. Then say peace be upon you, O my masters
From your slave, the wrongdoer and sinner

13. Prevented by inconsistent loyalty from you
And delayed from coming to you

14. He still asks his Lord, and wishes
That God enable him, make possible for him

15. To join you, accepting from him though he falls short
In duty to you, deserving deprivation
