1. How long do you see the turns of time
With the loss of variety of tribulations

2. It has ruled in existence with the necessity of misfortune
As if I and the turns of misfortune are contemporaries

3. More grieving, and is it beneficial after
The loved ones have gone far, that I grieve

4. And a speaker to me, do not take off
The clothes of affliction if they weigh down

5. Be patient, for how much solace do you have
That relieves you of the anguish of grief

6. So I said, indeed, not pouring tears
Except for the afflictions of al-Husayn and al-Hasan

7. A youth who passed away without attaining his wishes
Neither settled in his life nor tranquility
