7. May God shepherd those who surrendered their passions to love
And left behind hearts everlasting in their fervour.

8. I wander about when the legions of night descend upon me,
Blocking my paths with their armies.

9. O Abul Haqq, it would please the eyes to be sated of sorrow,
Yet my eyes are tearful and ever wakeful.

10. I asked you to tell me - what harm is there in visiting
Meaning, even if ephemeral, though it brings no remedy?

11. For your two slaying, passionate eyes,
Your rosy cheeks, your curvy waist.

12. When day breaks, it reveals by its face a radiant morn,
But night pulls it back with its black tresses.

13. It suffers from promises and longing that still
Struggles with me to live unto the promise.

14. For us there is nothing left but to wish for her presence -
When she comes to me, I'm in the gardens of eternity.

15. And O my friends, today we passed by a settlement
That for love's followers is the ultimate goal.

16. I pledged my soul, a gazelle in her sanctuary,
And she struck me with my own arrow, deliberately.

And she tells of the roses in her two gardens.

18. The people's faces inspired generosity and piety,
And in times of calamity, they are like lions.

19. So their mark in times of generosity is on their faces,
And in times of bounty and glory, from abundant provision.

20. My friend, why don't you both come to congratulate
The brother of glory - no - the axis of the circle of glory?

21. A pious, generous man who shames the clouds with his palm,
A pure, perfect soul since the day he was in the cradle.

22. We plant, my beloved friend and cousin, my shelter,
