1. The yellow dates bear witness
That the string of pearls is returned
١. اصفرُ الخيريّ يشهد
أَنّ عقدَ الوردِ قد رُد
2. And sees that the perfume is not
More precious or glorious
٢. ويرى أنَّ البهارَ ال
مُنتفى اغلى وامجِد
3. An awake king comes
And kinds of light are prepared
٣. ملكٌ يقظانُ يأتي
وصُنوفُ النَّورِ هُجَّد
