1. Rejoice, for the veil of earth has unveiled its face,
And come to you spreading what it had folded of its pages,

2. Fortified in its beauty in an impenetrable stronghold,
The minds fixed on guarding its blossom.

3. Spring has opened its seal, so we saw,
What had been of its mysteries in its secret.

4. After the clouds had folded their hems,
And poured upon it the gentlest of its pearls.

5. Lower your eyelids before it, to shield from its splendor,
For if not for the rising of its beauty, you would not bear it.

6. And thank March for the wonders you see,
Of the beauty of its spectacle, its peer and its wonders.

7. A month as if Al-Hajjaj ibn Muhammad,
Had cast upon it a touch of his cheerfulness.

8. A king who captured our souls with noble deeds,
That made for him the horizon a crown.

9. The affairs of its time are still in captivity,
For I have seen in it my love in all captivity.
