1. The joining of religion and world together,
Alas! Opposites shall never agree.
١. إنَّ اجتِماعَ الدِينِ والدُنيا مَعاً
هيهاتِ فالضِدَّانِ لن يَتَوافَقا
2. For religion is marked by modesty and piety,
While the world is its contrary, so they'll never concur.
٢. فالدِينُ سِيماهُ التصوُّن والتُقَى
وبعكسِهِ الدُنيا فلن يَتَرافَقا
