1. The dead did not rise from their graves
To deny what the narrators have narrated

2. They took the path of hypocrisy and were unjust
To every darkness until they bent

3. They seized the rods of leadership by force
A people who sat on the throne of misguidance

4. They ignited the fire of hypocrisy and it blazed
Among them, and they got burned by those flames

5. The snake may coil up in its basket, but they
Do not coil up from what they have coiled around

6. They are the insects who have gotten used to harm
They oppressed and sheltered oppressions but did not shelter

7. They turned away from knowledge out of ignorance
For they are people who have taken refuge in the taverns of misguidance

8. They prepared for us the act of harm and their words
Scorched many a heart with their fires

9. And a gang with paired disbelief
Did evil with which the hearts of the creations were seared

10. They boast of every arrogant rotten bone
There is no pride in a feeble bone even if they magnify

11. They oppressed and the misguidance misguided them
And they deviated from the straight paths and crooked

12. A people who were harsh and cruel to the weak
When the wind of toxins blew on them, for they had perfumed

13. They pretend to have religious zeal
They are priests of idols who have gone astray and led astray

14. If murder were made permissible, their judgement
Would be dissolution, and witness to that are a people who have transgressed

15. They are prophets of lies, worthless is their blood
So they complained of injustice, from what they plotted and wished

16. And our land has buried in its belly
Those who have been buried in it, and they will be resurrected for what they buried

17. They may conceal schemes, but it surrounds them
And besieges them, and for every people is what they intend
