1. The breezes of holiness blew from the sweetest fragrance,
And adorned the horizons with length and width.

2. The splendor and flash of purity shone radiantly,
And that flash filled the expanse of the entire universe.

3. The aroma of virginity blossomed, with which
We were adorned one day with the aroma of fresh lilies.

4. So oh breezes that brought joy to the heart,
Quenching it with the chastity of righteousness and pure glory.

5. The fiancé of the chaste and virgin Joseph, who
Is clothed in the garment of purity without blemish.

6. For this bride and groom both
Have a seal of purity, transcendent of defect.

7. They lived together in chastity,
Two outstanding models, each resembling the other.

8. She has no equal but him, nor does he
Have any peer in chastity, as is pleasing.

9. For God chose him as her holy husband
For Mary, since the beginning, by His eternal decree.

10. Oh unique in purity among all creations, you
Who attained the ultimate in virtue and praiseworthy traits.

11. And oh most glorious of virgins in the Lote Tree of the Most High,
Adorned in the garment of virginity, bright and luminous.

12. Joseph rose in Egypt as its ruler,
With free reign in authority, to give and withhold.

13. God appointed him in his command and judgment,
So none could nullify what he decided to implement.

14. And you, God's trustee, took charge of His house
As a faithful steward, with full discretionary powers.

15. You became the Lord's tutor, raising Him,
To rule over the Lord of Judgment, and pass judgement.

16. You took control of God's affairs through His family,
So your binding judgment prevailed over all people.

17. You became like the Father, when you became
A father to His Son, with absolute authority beyond dispute.

18. For you are the legal father of the son of Mary,
Just as you are her lawful husband, O most virtuous one.

19. She wed you a virgin, and the essence of her purity
Was protected through her supreme chastity from violation.

20. You affirmed her vow of chastity, that for you
She would not break it all your life.

21. But then it appeared one day to an onlooker
That she was with child, and so you inclined to annulment.

22. And you almost forsook her virginity by force,
Until God revealed to you in your sleep:

23. "Do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife,
And beware of doubt and grief."

24. "For her conceiver is the Holy Spirit, and she
Will give birth to Him without intercourse or violation."

25. So she brought Him as a newborn infant, and He
Is God, with both worlds in the grip of His hands.

26. How excellent for you as His guardian, as if
He whom you cared for was your very own son.

27. Blessed be the arms on which you carried
Him whose rule transcends all limits and bounds.

28. And blessed be the eyes with which you beheld Him
At whose appearance even angels cast down their gaze.

29. And blessed be the hands that once touched Him
Whose hands fashioned the heavens and earth.

30. And blessed the ears that heard from you and were
Attentive to Him whose voice is sweeter than cures.

31. In the highest realm your elevation is lofty,
And your worth transcends all in the earthly realm.

32. You attained the greatest miracles and marvels,
Bestowing them freely upon those who seek them from you.

33. Oh spring of the thirsty, oh you whose dew
Satiates the healthy from injury and harm.

34. Have mercy on one who has come to you, with tears
Flowing like streams of sadness, cascade upon cascade.

35. If you, my Master, forgive his sins
May your pardon enrich him, beyond need of gain.

36. I regret my life that passed in misery,
So my fingers are crippled from the misery I reaped.

37. The leather of my righteousness is ruined, beyond
Repair, like wine gone sour, lacking all acidity.

38. It has become my skin, so that from my sins
I gained a close ally, unable to stand tall.

39. My liver is wounded from the arrow of my burden,
Pierced through by sins with cracks and lesions.

40. I cry from the misery I have harvested from misery,
For it is said, "What is this naked one, stripped of all clothes!"

41. Upon you be God's peace, as long as there is one who praises,
Praising you, for whom praise has become an obligation.

42. My will set out with resolve to roam about praising you,
And the sincerity of my words in praising you flowed freely.

43. And my hands did not refrain from your praise, for it
Transcends the despised and grasping hands.

44. If you do not look upon me with pleased eyes,
Then who will look at me? Or to whom can I turn?

45. Oh Joseph the Truthful, oh best of intercessors,
Intercede for us on the Day of Review and Display.

46. And grant me the seal of purity as my savior,
With a good final sealing, perfected without annulment.
