1. You ruined your understanding through your splendor,
And raised your heart through your glory,

2. O bearer of lights, you have
Darkened the intellect through your illumination,

3. O morning star,
Why have you descended from your ascent?

4. Above the stars you said
To ascend higher than your place out of arrogance,

5. Resembling your Exalted God,
That was due to your pride,

6. So you were cast down to the lowest,
And you started running recklessly,

7. And you were debased when raised,
And your reward was not forfeited,

8. You were satisfied with progress,
So you recoiled backwards,

9. And you desired, when elevated,
So you were rewarded with falling into abyss,

10. And you refused to be helped by the One
Who helped you, so persist in your misery,

11. If you had humbled your sublime forehead to your Lord in the heavens,
You would have risen expectantly and not

12. Obstructed your hope through your might,
In a minute of intellect

13. You were created but out of your evil,
Wearing necklaces of bounty

14. Shining in your purity,
A hidden mystery was uncovered from you

15. Out of your extreme ecstasy,
You wanted oneness with God in you

16. To appear for your glory in your brilliance,
And you rebelled to reject the One

17. Who blessed you, so persist in your denial,
Towards hell in shackles,

18. Since there is no escape from your bonds,
You were cast into the fire and the flames rose to meet you,

19. This is the reward of arrogance, so enjoy
The prizes of your great pride,

20. And prison became your abode, so be pleased with the heat of your wisdom,
Suffering eternally with your nature,

21. And God knows the duration of your existence,
Arrogance necessitated your repulsion,

22. And for this reason, you do not cease
To call people to follow you,

23. God forbid the frequent anguish of your soul in your misery!
How different is your end, O Pelted One, from your beginning!

24. Extend, O ignorant one, the rising of your sun in the sky to its setting,
Meet your appearance with illumination and glory to your disappearance,

25. If you required weeping, I would say, increase your crying for us,
Your chronic disease is the mighty pillar, so there is no way to cure you,

26. You have attracted sin to yourself, which is the meaning of your evil perception,
A third of the stars vanished

27. When they vanished by the echo of your dismal abode,
And they opposed your opinion, so they transgressed

28. When they recoiled from your disease,
And they all became misguided

29. Under your banner or flags,
And you hunted them when you cast

30. Your traps upon them,
And you wounded them with wounds that

31. Became contiguous by the sharpness of your claws,
So the command of the All-Compelling Lord passed over them,

32. It is from your decrees,
O God, increase evil for those

33. Who desired to incline towards his evil,
O Lord, Your attributes have been exalted in Your purity,

34. Dazzling intellects and spiritual insights,
The meaning of Your lucidity in Your mystery,

35. So all hearts gathered upon Your allegiance,
O You whose body we violated,

36. Cast Your cloak over us in Your mercy,
And grant protection to souls

37. That desire nothing but Your protection,
By the intercession of the Maiden

38. Who is the best of Your creation among Your angels,
She whom You have appointed

39. And intended in Your accounts,
She who attained the heights of humility

40. And assumed the highest ranks,
The Mother of God, the Maiden, the crown of mankind, indeed the crown of angels,

41. The Torah of Moses gave news of her and the rest of Your prophets,
The people of discernment stood by the proof of her virtue from among Your devout,

42. Then generations knew that she is the Maiden of maidens of Your chosen ones,
They were all before her empty and devoid of Your realized ones,

43. Until the promise in her was fulfilled, by Your command and predestination,
You fulfilled for humankind through Your choice and approval,

44. So she filled us with righteousness and each attained
From the outpouring of Your abundance,

45. And You chose her as a Maiden and Mother
Among Your women,

46. So she rose above the souls of all
The hopeful toward Your exaltation,

47. And You decreed that none feels secure
Except Your creatures by Your decree,

48. And without her no soul ever found
Salvation from Your tribulation,

49. She is the essence of the two worlds as
She preceded with the nobility of Your selection,

50. And the essence of existence as You intended her
With the sincerity of Your care,

51. We were not saved from the calamities of captivity
Except through Your redemption,

52. No weaver has spun a day
Garments of praise for you except the Best of tailors,

53. And the undone poem praising you
Has become the most exquisite of poems,

54. The universes were not filled with
Bounty except from Your generosity,

55. None of the virtuous attained favor
Except from Your giving,

56. None of the wealthy were enriched
With perfect bounty except from Your wealth,

57. No darkness was illumined with
Brilliance except from Your luminescence,

58. No orbits attained the lights and illumination
Except from Your splendor,

59. The heavens and earths were not constructed
Except from Your building,

60. Our souls did not inhale spirits
Except from Your air,

61. No fires were lit with
Burning except from Your heat,

62. No animal or plant was nourished
Except from Your provision,

63. No fertility of the growing things increased
Except from Your growth,

64. No true discernment exempted You from praise
Nor did any speech exclude singing Your glory,

65. So for You is lasting praise
Whose beauty comes from the mouths of Your loved ones,

66. And all Your Chosen Ones forever, and the company of Your sincere ones,
No angels veiled You,

67. Unable to behold Your glory,
And souls melted in

68. Revering Your lofty delicacy,
Endless praise accompanying

69. The eternity of Your existence,
O You for whom our bodies were sacrificed,

70. Cast Your cloak over us in Your mercy,
And grant protection to souls

71. That desire nothing but Your protection,
Through the intercession of the Maiden

72. Who is the best of Your creation among Your angels,
