2. I have tested them both
With keen senses and discerning mind.

3. If told: O you, what are they?
I'd cry out in loudest voice:

ูุงุฏูุชู ุจุงูุตูุชู ุงูุฌููุฑู
4. The pride of the aged in his staff
Is folly, as is the youth's arrogance.

ู ุงูุตุบูุฑ
5. The first forsakes
His duty in worldly affairs,

ุชุฑูุงู ููุงุฌุจุฉู ุงูุฃูู

6. The other is madโthough warned against it,
And both are fruits of delusion.
