1. Impregnable walls protect Acre, so it will not
Be conquered now that the ruins have been rebuilt
١. سُورٌ منيعٌ عاصمٌ عكَّا فما
تُغتالُ إذ قد عيدَ منهُ الداثرُ
2. From the flourishing lifetime in which it became renowned
Among the desert for its comforts and relics
٢. من ظاهر العُمَر الذي اشتهرَت لهُ
بينَ البريةِ أَنعُمٌ ومآثِرُ
3. Its perfections were completed, so a viewer will desire
To look on the beauty of its structure, while another will be downcast
٣. تَمَّت محاسنُهُ فيرنو ناظرٌ
في حُسنِ مَبناهُ ويخسأُ ناظرُ
4. When the Sheikh Zahir built it by force
Its date proclaimed "Built by Zahir"
٤. لمَّا بناهُ الشيخُ ظاهرُ عَنوةً
اعناهُ تاريخٌ بناهُ ظاهرُ
