1. O oppressor, along with your oppression you wrong me
Be just, for none but you oppresses

2. You are blinded by injustice and your heart is oppressive

3. O you who denied your heart the adornment of your face
Rising above your equal, for your time is gloomy

4. I wept my eyes out passionately and let them flow
For the eye is used by its human

5. I offer you good tidings by undoing the knots of my misery
You offer me vengeance and unite it

6. How gentle I am while you are harsh
To whom shall I come with love and you spurn me

7. To whom shall I be satisfied and you roar angrily
To whom shall I extinguish what you ignite and inflame

8. And for how long shall I twist while you twist away
And for how long shall I speak clearly and you mumble

9. And for how long shall I be just, O twisted one, while you twist
And for how long shall I purify morals and you blemish

10. And for how long shall I heal what wounds you inflicted
And for how long shall I build brotherly ties and you sever them

11. And for how long shall I cool and you inflame eyes
And for how long shall I build with hearts and you demolish

12. And for how long shall I respect a covenant you dishonored
And for how long shall I praise the generous and you disparage

13. And for how long shall I seek remedy while you ignite me with passion
And for how long shall I muzzle my comfort and you bludgeon

14. Between me and you stands a just judge
Relying on reason in what he rules

15. O eradicator of good, what are these evils
With which you tore apart the robes of love

16. O you who blame and threaten me, can this
Bring healing to one crippled with anguish

17. The evening you insist I spend with you
I find more persisting than what is most persisting

18. And I see you violate a consented upon condition
While the condition is most binding and consent solid

His divided opinion does on a day

21. You burdened me with burdens, some of which
If mountains bore, their peaks would split

22. You adorned me with the attributes of your nature
Morals of disgrace, which do not decompose

23. Hands that granted me rest, their thumbs
Oh what rest! I wish I were annihilated from the like of you

24. O you who insult me unjustly while this trait
Is like Dawood son of Jesse insulting me

25. How did he seek God to destroy the enemies
When he has one hand invading and the other avenging

26. Though life has bliss, it is a paradise
Alas! Were it not for hell accompanying it

27. I have the example of the forgiving Messiah
While he was in agony on his cross

28. O you with a heart inclined to evil
My tongue is muzzled from describing your nature

29. I do not complain of you or sully my speech
For the tongue of your state is speaking

30. My mouth will not independently utter condemnations
It is as if I succeed by condemning, I know

31. When you addressed my heart in addressing me
You left it confused, so my heart is confused by your words

32. You showed me with the face a grave matter
And you showed me with the intent an even graver matter

33. And you addressed my confused heart, rendering me confused
As if I was cut off from it

34. And if the enemy shows you friendliness
Beware and let not his smile deceive you

35. The injustice of scorpions lies dormant in their nature
Provoke it and you will see what is provoked and kindled

36. For injustice is of the nature of souls, so if you find
One of chastity, it is due to a deficiency, he does not oppress

37. And forbearance is the clinking of the noble one, and inferior to it
He refuses, though after disability, he is forbearing

38. Be a scorpion to be feared, and a reconciler to be wary of
When disputing, so the shameless one is wary of you

39. If the claws of the vicious extend, then clip them
How good are claws when trimmed

40. For humiliating the arrogant is dignity
And many a wound is healed by ointment

41. It is the nature of sly women to spread the poison of their passionate love
Far from you, O healthy one, may you be safe

42. For reputation is a reputation inferior to which
Is a rabble flowing upon its lowness and confined

43. Lofty honor is not safe from harm
Until blood is shed on its flanks

44. O you who wore armor for fighting with pieces of broken swords
Beware that armor does not betray you

45. You will inevitably regret what you reaped
Regret and sorrow, and you will not be comforted if you regret

51. You are well known without an alif or laam

52. In you are deposited honesty and faith
As you reaped, so in you one who scoffs is deposited

53. Trees are known by their fruits
And the origin's type emerges from what results

54. If only all wombs giving birth

55. How many nights did you leave me awake
Herding the stars as if I was an astrologer

56. Oh, if only we were Suhail and Suhaa

That faith would abandon you, O stray one

58. Leadership's stream is sweet
But its source is bitter and undrinkable

59. You have come excused with the goodness of your disposition

60. Far from safety is one who came externally
Pure while his insides are the powerful mocker

Like scorpions in the sun of the midday, plotting

62. I hoped he would rest at ease

69. And I will definitely shun one who resembles it
Avoiding the betrayer of mean betrayal, blamed

70. Branches may be bent though straight
But the crooked one cannot be bent straight

71. And the stick is straightened though twisted in it
But if it dries it cannot be fixed

72. For me, every part of him that harmed me has pieces
And every organ with which he was vile has pieces

73. My ribs have become a target for his arrows
And my warrior, the arrows have aimed at him

74. Does my heart not shudder from his evil while my savior
Is the Savior and the chaste Mary

75. Of the sublime position in the sphere of the Most High
In her judgement, all judgements are submitted

76. She gives and deprives, of decisive order
She prohibits and commands people and rules

77. She is a refuge for one seeking refuge and sanctuary
For one seeking lightning, and a paradise with no perforation

78. She perplexed the adept in describing her perfection
So every tongue in describing her is mute and tied

79. A virgin whose excellence transcends
One who craves her favor will never tire

80. The best ransom, the sea of dew, the downpour of echo
Treasure of bounty, she gives and bestows grace

81. The angels above serve her
And the human race below yearn for her service

82. She has demolished the darkness of misguidance, for she
Is the flag of guidance and the luminous symbol

83. She is God’s great habitation, and she
Is the holiest of holies and the greatest tabernacle

84. The wondrous planet, the light of the Throne
The morning sun and stars are submissive to her

85. This is the precious stone, chosen
In which dwelled the most honorable philosopher

86. Since He lodged in her, embodying
His hypostasis, a person forming with her

87. His divinity transcendent of need
Yet His humanity forming

88. A simple Lord whose body is composite
Who walks and tires or hungers and eats

89. His hypostasis distinct and not twin
Yet both natures and wills are twin

90. O my pillar in my adversity and my aide
In my affliction and success in the most grave

91. So I will praise you as long as I live, and if I die
My remains and greatest part will praise you

92. It is right for the cosmos to praise you on high
If the cosmos had speech or mouth

93. Upon praising you, the Arabs of the desert
And all the non-Arabs gathered and converged

94. I dedicate to you the prime of my thoughts, the best bargain
In its throat lies the beautiful pearl of arranged eulogy

95. The seal culminated with it in praise
So magnify with the favors, it is sealed
