1. O Abu Al-Saqr, God's blessings upon you
Continue as the days and time renew them

2. As the seasons pass and fade away
Your glorious days remain resplendent flowers

3. For you are beauty and ornament of the world
And treasure hoarded for the noble and free

4. I see all gifts pale before your worth
Nothing equals anything in its proper measure

5. Every merit springs from your bounty's excess
No righteousness but yours deserves that name

6. So I gift you gems of panegyric verse
That bring renown in prose and poetry

7. Eulogies that long outlast time’s span
And days shine bright throughout a lifetime's extent
