1. O you whom I am burdened with loving,
Burden me with cups of wine
2. And a life that has in its cheeks
Roses and blossoms,
3. And a burning desire buckled around your waist
In the sash,
4. Never did I see in the wilderness
A face as beautiful as yours,
5. When I saw the gray hairs on
My face telling of old age,
6. She said it was just dust that had settled
On me, so I said this was not mere dust
7. This is what transferred kings
From palaces to tombs,
8. She said you have refuted my claim
With excellent counterarguments,
9. O you, did you not see me
A night ever since I was created without day?
