1. The imagination wandered with its visions in peace
Though I suffered, it was not yet time for blame

2. O son of him who inherited the Prophet Muhammad
Above all relatives from maternal uncles

3. The revelation arbitrated between the daughters and you
It ended the dispute, so do not dispute

4. Women have no obligation towards men
A verse in Surat Al-An'am descended about that

5. It will not happen, though it is not happening
That paternal uncles inherit daughters

6. The Book nullified their shares, but they tried
To legitimize it without shares

7. The clan of Saaqiy al-Hajj won their right
While you were deluded by fanciful dreams

8. Make way for a group whose traits
Are breaking shoulders every crowded day

9. Be content with what God allotted you
And leave the inheritance of every game bird cooked by Ham
