4. I mourn to you an eloquence the speech of every
Articulate, wise speaker stills itself before.

5. I mourn to you the hearts' sign language together—
Nothing of it remains but the patcher of ruins.

6. I mourn—by your truth—a people's morals whose
Restraint originates in the resetting of bones.

7. All are gone—no eye, no trace.
Like the passing of ‘Ād, the loss of the loved ones at Iram.

8. And they left behind a band who trail their gowns,
Wearied by confusion, rather wearied by blessings.
