١. لَقَد حَسُنتَ بِهِ اليَومَ المَراثي
كَما حَسُنتَ بِهِ أَمسِ الأَهاجي
2. But you went too far in insulting the innocent,
And killing was the consequence of stubbornness.
٢. وَلَكِن لَجَّ في شَتمِ البَرايا
وكانَ القَتلُ عاقِبَةَ اللُجاجِ
