١. إِلى كَم أُبيدُ البَيدَ في طَلَبِ الغِنى
وَأَقرَبُ رِزقي فَوقَ نَجمِ سُهَيلِ
2. And gray hair has obscured my youth as if it were
The first light of dawn in the darkness of night.
٢. وَقَد وَخَطَ الشَيبُ الشَبابَ كَأَنَّهُ
أَوائِلُ صُبحٍ في أَواخِرِ لَيلِ
