1. The barren one has won the kingdom,
His vizier is Sherikuh the supporter,

2. It is as if Ibn Shaddi, Salah and his sword,
Ali is with him, the bold and the brave,

3. He is the fierce lion with lofty discourse,
And the advisor is a dog, unfaithful to men,

4. He transgressed and oppressed until it was said,
Upon the likes of it the accursed used to go round,

5. May the Merciful not have mercy on his grave’s soil,
In it Munkar and Nakir still abide.
