1. Be humble lest pride should disgrace you
So much good has humility brought the wise
١. تَواضَعْ تكنْ ممَّا يَشِينُك سالِماً
فكم جَرَّ نَفْعاً لِلَّبِيبِ التَّواضُعُ
2. By adding the diminutive to a name accrues integrity
Even if there were in it previously hindrances
٢. وللإسْمِ بالتَّصغير جَمْعُ سَلامةٍ
وإن كان فيه قبلَ ذاك مَوانِعُ
