١. لي سيِّدٌ مُتواضِعٌ لِغُلامِهِ
وعلى سِواهُ مُسْرِفٌ في كِبْرِهِ
2. He yields to the lads in the dark of night
Like a ship with the tiller astern does he guide
٢. ينْقادُ للغِلْمانِ في خَلَواتِهِ
مِثْلَ السَّفِينِ زِمامُه في دُبْرِهِ
