1. In the state of my union and separation
My gratitude is due to the Beloved and my Lord
١. في دَوْلةِ وَصْلِ مُنيَتِي والهَجْرِ
قد حُقَّ لذا وحَقِّ رَبِّي شُكْرِي
2. In union my soul found life and was purified
And in separation He lengthens my life, my Lord
٢. في الوصلِ حَلَتْ حياةُ نَفْسٍ وصَفَتْ
والهجرُ به يُطِيلُ رَبِّي عُمْرِي
